Donald John Trump’s state of denial is breathtaking in its scope.
He said this past week that “vaccine or no vaccine … we’re back.”Â
Actually, Mr. POTUS, we aren’t back. We are far from “back.” Thousands of Americans are still dying daily. Thousands more of us are getting sick. Take away the decline in death and infection in New York, and the rest of the country is still spiking.
Take a look at Texas — where my family and I live — and we see a surge in infection.
So while the president can bellow, bluster, bloviate all he wants about us being “back,” the reality tells us something quite different.
The death toll has surpassed 90,000 on its way to 100,000 Americans dying. Who knows when it will end? Trump doesn’t know. Neither do the medical experts he has brought aboard to coordinate the pandemic response.
So, Donald Trump needs to do us all a favor … and keep his trap shut!

If you look at https://dshs.texas.gov, the cases are now trending down. I know you’re disappointed in this. Just like Dems in Georgia can’t stand it that they opened up and their trends have continued down. It’s sickening to see how many keep making statements hoping people die from this when states open up.
Oh, stop being such a dick. You say I would be “disappointed” in a reduction of suffering? Give me a break. I don’t mind disagreements over policy. I damn sure do mind idiotic assumptions about me and my motives.
We have 72 in the hospital in the Panhandle area for Covid. Does that sound like we should stay shut down?
As for motive, try some positivity and I’ll have a better chance to belief your side has different motives.
Why did Georgia err in reporting their COVID numbers?
“DPH changed the graph Monday after more than a day of online mockery, public concern and a letter from a state representative. Gov. Brian Kemp’s office issued an apology and its spokespeople said they’d never make this kind of mistake again.”

Don’t know why they err in reporting. The article did say the numbers were coming down. Just not as fast as the graph they had released showed. There should be accurate reporting, but still a good sign. I’m not sure anyone has been using accurate data.
