Donald J. Trump is on the verge of abandoning a longheld U.S. foreign policy, which calls for this nation to stand firm against aggression from nations that seek to undermine democratic sovereignty.
He’s going to meet soon with Russian thug/goon Vladimir Putin to “negotiate” a deal to end the war in Ukraine. The two pals no doubt are going to stick in the ear of Ukraine President Volodymr Zellenskyy, who’s been fighting his heart out against the Russian aggressors for the past three years.
How was he able to keep the Russians at bay while inflicting grievous casualties on the aggressors? Because U.S. support provided by President Joe Biden in concert with our NATO allies.
Well, Trump is now sitting in Biden’s former office and he and his MAGA cultists appear set on flattening Zellenskyy’s efforts against the Russian invaders.
I have no clue the direction these “negotiations” will take. I’m not smart enough to figure that out. I sense, though, that NATO, the EU and much of the free world is going to feel betrayed by the new administration’s cozying up to Putin.
I also believe Putin will see this suck-up policy as giving him license to continue his aggression in eastern Europe.
My first question is why donald is meeting with the indicted Putin before meeting with Zellenskyy. If donald takes us out of NATO, we are in trouble. donald has no clue about foreign policy and that we need adversaries. Article 5 of the NATO resolution demands that if one country is attacked/invades, then all NATO nations will come to its assistance. It’s only happened once; and that was during 9/11. The Americans needed NATO forces and they were there. Now we have this nutjob who is a bit too cozy with our enemies and has this “America First” mindset. Most of the dumbasses in this country who hear the term “America First” think it’s patriotic and it is not. It is isolationism at best. We need allies, just as they need us. I guarantee that Trump plans to make a deal with Putin where Ukraine will lose a large portion of its eastern region. Ukraine should lose nothing. The Ukrainians do not want to be under the Russian regime. They are a sovereign country. They also should be allowed to enter NATO. Otherwise, Putin will invade the next eastern most country, such as Poland. They are in NATO and that would cause WWIII. donald isn’t smart enough to run a country and help keep the world peaceful. Hell, he wants to take the Gaza strip for real estate development. And just for the sake of it, I will always call the Gulf of Mexico by its name; not the Gulf of America as donald would like it to be called. That’s just one more sign of an autocrat who is delusional and need psychiatric help. By the way, Canada doesn’t want any part of becoming a USA state. They are doing just fine as Canada.
