Explain this to me … please

Almost every aspect of today’s political climate requires an understanding that I apparently do not possess.

We used to seek and expect the best among our political leaders. Today we are settling for, well, clowns, misfits, felons and numbskulls. How can this happen to us? Why are we letting it happen?

Donald Trump, the felon in chief, is close to getting a Cabinet he selected that fits the description I have just laid out there. Americans elected this guy despite the felony convictions, two impeachment trials, multiple scandals, a defeat at the polls four years earlier and litany of lies that cannot be compared to any other in U.S. political history.

I will concede this point. Which is that we have witnessed the most astonishing political comeback in recorded history … in my view.

I just cannot fathom how this guy managed to pull this off.

And now he is setting about doing what he vowed to do and then some. He seeks to dismantle the federal government and has brought on board an unelected zillionaire guru to take the government apart piece by piece.

I am seriously frightened.

  1. He was elected because the American people saw through the lawfare and bogus impeachments.

What are you so afraid of, his administration showing the corruption and wasteful spending? He ran on this and the people elected him on it. He’s the first a president that I can remember that actually does what he says he’s going to do. He talks to the press daily and is more transparent as any elected official.

Why is it that democrats are the only ones worried about what is being uncovered? Probably because it helps explain how they become millionaires off of $150,000 salaries. I’m sure democrats aren’t alone. I have no doubt there are republicans sweating as well.

Bill Clinton and Barack Obama both said the federal government needed to be reduced and spending needed to be drastically reduced. Of course they said this on the campaign trail and never actually did what they said they would do.

Bill Maher has been fun to watch. Lately he’s completely destroying democrats and the way they are currently acting. Jon Stewart has been on that bandwagon as well. These are two comedians with a lot of followers that have historically blasted republicans. They even see how lost the Democrats are.

There is zero fear of losing democracy! If anything, it will be stronger than ever once our current bloated government is reduced. More power will be given to the states, which what founding fathers intended. BTW, our founding fathers were in their early twenties. So, the argument of DOGE using young men is BS. As long as the guys have integrity, I’m okay with it. Musk didn’t become the wealthiest man in the world hiring idiots.
