Trump’s list of vows sends chills

Donald Trump’s return to the White House sends more chilling signals than I can possibly count, but surely a few of them stand out.

The mass deportation and separation of illegally documented immigrants is one; the desire to let Ukraine fall to the Russian invaders is another.

The one Trump promise that well could keep awake at night is the one that pledges that grant blanket pardons for the traitors who stormed the Capitol Building on Jan. 6 intending to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

I don’t know about you, but seeking those hideous videos of the mob smashing windows, beating cops with poles, yelling “where’s Mike Pence” while brandishing gallows from which they threatened to hang the vice president continue to make my skin crawl.

And for Trump to declare that the assault was full of “love” simply goes too far beyond the pale to even elicit an intelligent response.

He vows to fight crime, and yet he’s a convicted felon. Go figure that one for me … if you dare try. Trump’s anti-immigrant screeds only will increase once he is sworn in as POTUS. Yet two of his three wives were immigrants. Have they “poisoned the blood” of the nation? Trump cannot tell the truth about anything, no matter how significant or trivial the issue.

These all are points to ponder as we prepare for the second Trump administration.

I will circle back, though, to this idea of pardoning the frothing criminals who followed this man’s instruction to “fight like hell” to “take back the government” on Jan. 6.

If we have learned anything about the ex- and future POTUS, when he vows to do the outrageous, we should believe him.

  1. You have fallen for so much of the media crap. And, you keep spewing it. If youā€™d do some research of your own, youā€™d see that youā€™re so far off on what ā€œhe vows to doā€ that itā€™s beyond ridiculous.

You are the definition of a sheep. But hey, I did get my comedic relief before I go to sleep.

Did you catch Harrisā€™ drunken video? Wasnā€™t that great!

    1. BJ-

It seems to me the author is spot on.

Trumpā€™s premiere promise is mass deportations. So far no one knows exactly what that means.

Will military personnel enter classrooms and arrest ten year old kids? Will they go door to door and arrest abuelita who is hiding under a bed?

His promise to pardon the J6 felons is also true.

Heā€™s a felon. Yet he says heā€™s for law and order.

On the Kamala video- letā€™s say she was indeed drunk. At least sheā€™ll sober up.

Trumpā€™s speaks and acts like heā€™s drunk everyday- yet he doesnā€™t drink. Thatā€™s a helluva lot scarier.

      Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. DM,

He has addressed deportation. Heā€™s been adamant that they will target the criminals, which there are plenty of them. There wonā€™t be officers going into classrooms. I have no idea how you jumped to that conclusion. Heā€™s also said the focus will be on stopping the massive waves of illegal crossings first. Again, not going door to door.

The j6ā€™ers heā€™s talked about were the ones that have been unrealistically targeted, NOT ALL J6ā€™ERS. There were only a handful that were out of line to the point of felon activity. The majority were considerably more peaceful than those that were ā€œpeacefully protestingā€ after Floyd. Many are still in jail without trials. Thatā€™s not the American way.

Trump is a felon due to law fare from this administration. All prosecutors have been to the Whitehouse multiple times coordinating. This is fact and on record. Any one of us could be in the same boat if govt officials deem they simply donā€™t like you.

Iā€™ve yet to hear Trump slur his words or look drunk. You may not like the message, but over 75,000,000 did. Heā€™s actually a lot calmer now than in 2016. Otherwise he wouldnā€™t have gained so much ground in all demographics.

    Have a very Merry Christmas.

    1. The high plains blogger and other leftists are simply lost causes unfortunately. They’ve completely bought into the liberal lies and it’s just sad really. They repeat them over and over and never really think critically.

It’s a bummer because outside of politics, they’re actually some fun and interesting people. However their hate of Trump overshadows that. High plains blocked me on fb because I kept openly pushing back on his repeating of the lies and I guess that was too much for him.

        1. Wow.. what a pithy reply. Lol… triggered much?

Oh well… Trump is gonna be your President for the next 4 years. Have a great day! šŸ˜€

          1. Jimmy-

            Actually Trump is Co-President.

Heā€™s offloaded most of his responsibilities to Musk.

Musk of course got rich by collecting $7500 in tax payer subsidies for each EV he sold.

Now Trump has given him the job of cutting government waste. I love the irony- you canā€™t make this stuff up!

Iā€™d suggest Elon give back the money he took from us and we call it good.

Lincoln said there wasnā€™t much a President could do to screw things up too badly- the checks and balances of the three branches do a good job of keeping us out of the gutter.

So four years of Trump shouldnā€™t be all that bad. Weā€™ve gotten used to the spray tan, combover and lies- ā€œ Theyā€™re eating the dogs.ā€

In the spirit of Christmas Iā€™d love to send you a cameo from one of the riches to rags MAGA guys- which do you like best, Giuliani or Gaetz?

            Merry Christmas!

  3. DM,

Itā€™s cute that you think thatā€™s how Musk got rich. That money didnā€™t put a dent in his personal wealth. You might want to try harder if youā€™re going to put down perhaps the richest man in the world.

    1. BJ-

As usual- youā€™re clearly in over your head.

      Read below.

ā€˜Itā€™s worthwhile to ask just how much of his world-leading net worth comes from government help over the last 10 to 15 years. The answer is not simple.

By some measures, little of his wealth is thanks to taxpayers. Musk is worth an estimated $326 billion, according to Bloombergā€™s real-time billionaire tracker. His companies have received ā€œonlyā€ tens of billions from government contracts and programs.

But in other ways, virtually all of his net worth can be pinned to government help. Tesla and SpaceX got started ā€“ and survived their early daysļ»æ ā€“ with assistance from state and federal policies, government contracts and loans.

ā€œThe foundation for Muskā€™s financial success has been the US government,ā€ said Daniel Ives, tech analyst for Wedbush Securities.

      * also- please show me proof of your claim that Trump is not going to send the military and law enforcement after people that are in the U. S. without documentation.

He might prioritize criminals but he has never said heā€™d stop there.

  4. I think I trust Muskā€™s own words rather than a third party that has no vested interest in the companies.

If you want to play the government assistance card. How many get government assistance and go belly up shortly afterwards. I believe the last summary of government assisted company startups had an approximate 75% failure due to mishandling of funds. I donā€™t honk Musk falls into this category and should be applauded for taking what he had and growing exponentially.

Trump stated in a speech, more than once, there wouldnā€™t be door to door unless they are criminals. Technically, they are criminals if they crossed the border anywhere except a border station. Anyway, he was specific in no door to door. He said this because so many leftists were trying to paint with a broad stroke.
