Because my understanding of the word usually implies a happy event. An event that makes one smile. An anniversary is something to remember with fondness.<\/p>\n<p>I recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of my marriage to my wife. We had a joyous celebration that day with family members who came to share it with us.<\/p>\n<p>I cannot use that word to describe the events of 1\/6.
