It comes from former U.S. Labor Secretary Robert Reich. I believe this actually happened. I wish it hadn’t. I’ll just share it here.<\/p>\n

Just now in the St. Louis airport (where I\u2019m heading to Cincinnati):<\/p>\n

Lady: Are you Robert Reich?<\/p>\n

Me: Yes.<\/p>\n

Lady: So what do you think is going to happen?<\/p>\n

Me: About what?<\/p>\n

Lady: The election, the economy, everything.<\/p>\n

Me: I don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n

Lady: I\u2019m voting for Bernie (Sanders).<\/p>\n

Me: Why?<\/p>\n

Lady: He tells it straight. He\u2019s not a politician. But my husband likes (Donald) Trump.<\/p>\n

Me: Why?<\/p>\n

Lady: Same reasons. My husband says Trump can\u2019t be bought because he\u2019s a billionaire.<\/p>\n

Me: Trump just buys other politicians.<\/p>\n

Lady: My husband says Trump will get things done.<\/p>\n

Me: But will he get things done for billionaires like himself or for regular people?<\/p>\n

Lady: I\u2019ll ask my husband.<\/p>\n

Me: You should give your husband my new book.<\/p>\n

Lady: What book?<\/p>\n

Me (pulling a copy out of my briefcase): \u201cSaving Capitalism: For the Many, Not the few.\u201d Here, you can have this copy. I have more.<\/p>\n

Lady (taking book): Well, thank you. I\u2019ll give it to him, (laughing) but he won\u2019t read it.<\/p>\n

Me: Why?<\/p>\n

Lady: He doesn\u2019t read. He watches Fox News.<\/p>\n

Me: Put it on his pillow tonight with a Hershey kiss on top.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
